Stafford MP Welcomes New Funding For NHS Cancer Drugs

Jeremy Lefroy MP has welcomed the Department of Health’s pledge to increase funding for cancer drugs by £50 million in this financial year. They have also ensured that £200 million will be available for the Cancer Drugs fund from April 2011.

Over £10 million was taken back from criminals in Staffordshire in the last three years (between March 2007 and 2010) through asset recovery work by the forces; Economic Crime Unit. The first half of this financial year (April to September 2010) saw the total rise above £12 million.
